Almighty and most merciful Father, keep us from all things that may cause us harm, and grant that we may be ready in both body and soul to accomplish those things that you would have us do. Almighty and eternal Father, show your mercy to your humble servants. Eternal Father, govern our hearts and minds through the grace your Holy Spirit, and stir up within us the fruits of holiness, that we may live out our earthly days in holiness, and so come to dwell with you in everlasting joy. Heavenly Father, make us ever watchful for the coming of your Son, that when he stands at the door and knocks, he may find us not sleeping in carelessness and sin, but awake and rejoicing in his appearing.
